ARNE CARLSEN is Associate Professor at BI Norwegian School of Business, Department of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour.
Arne was until recently the Project leader of Idea Work, a multi-year research project that sets out to understand and facilitate idea generation and use in organizations. Industry partners include Statoil (through its hydrocarbon exploration unit), Snøhetta, Thommessen, Point Carbon and SpareBank 1 Alliance.

Research Alive! In 2011, Arne and Jane Dutton of University of Michigan co-edited a book on generativity in qualitative research. In this book 40 scholars – thought leaders as well as newcomers – are contributing short stories of generative moments in their research practice, moments that brought a sense of aliveness, energy, transition, breakthrough or opening up.
